Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 Revealed!

April 9, 2024 0 Comments

Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the popular 2022 Korean drama starring Park Eun Bin as an autistic lawyer, has been renewed for a second season! The show has consistently been one of the highest rated non-English shows worldwide on Netflix.

Unfortunately, due to original writer Moon Ji Won’s scheduling conflicts, production will take slightly longer than initially anticipated. Stay up-to-date on all the latest developments! We promise!

1. Jung Myung-seok

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is returning for another season! Astory Entertainment announced that series writer Moon Ji-won had signed an exclusive writing contract to continue crafting episodes for Season Two of this hit TV show.

Young-woo soon proves herself an effective lawyer due to her intelligence and photographic memory, successfully protecting Sodeok-dong’s prized hackberry tree from development while uniting the village and winning back its pension for her client accused of murdering her abusive husband. She even defends one of Young-woo’s clients accused of murdering their spouse, winning back his pension thereby unifying family life once more.

Jung Myung-seok may seem like the classic romantic hero, but his compassionate and kind-hearted nature make him far more than just another character. He could really care for Young-woo, so it was comforting to see him make some effort towards connecting with her.

2. Choi Soo-yeon

A-Story producers are committed to keeping the same cast for Season 2, but given actor schedules this may take time. Still, A-Story will not change anything about what made it such a hit series.

Young-woo finds herself embroiled in an online retailer data breach situation when her new supervisor clashes with her during an investigation of an online shopping site case, prompting her to turn to her peers for support. They soon become emotionally invested in Gye Hyang-sim’s case – an arrest by North Korean security officers for demanding money from an injured woman after demanding it themselves; Young-woo and her colleagues become emotionally invested in trying to reduce Gye’s four year sentence while also exploring avenues that might lessen it – something which forces Young-woo to reconsider her budding relationship with litigation lawyer Joon-ho.

3. Lee Jun-ho

2PM’s star performer is known for his mesmerizing looks and electrifying performances – as well as having more to him than just pretty features! Proving his intelligence by earning a bachelor’s degree in performing arts and media studies.

Park Eun-bin has made waves with her breakout hit Extraordinary Attorney Woo, following an autistic lawyer taking on cases at one of Korea’s biggest law firms. The series quickly rose to the top spot on Netflix’s global chart for five straight weeks. ASTORY CEO Lee Sang-baek announced that 90% of cast, director, and writer would return for another run starting 2024; thus we can expect an encore run of this highly-anticipated drama!

4. Kwon Min-woo

Kwon Min-woo is quickly emerging as Young Woo’s office rival and the true villain of her story. Fuelled by petty anger against Young Woo, he plots against her business success using various means such as paying judges off or even taking credit for Young Woo’s employees’ legal arguments in court cases.

One of the more shocking cases involved a mentally handicapped girl being accused of abuse at the hands of her mother. To defend this girl’s case, defense had to demonstrate how she did not love that particular individual and prove they weren’t abusing her in any way.

This case was very emotional for all involved and illustrates that autistic people can sometimes be misunderstood as victims. Thankfully, however, the judge saw through to reality and granted my client her freedom from prosecution – though unfortunately this remains true today.

5. Ryu Jae-sook

Some viewers of Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s 14th episode may have misread it as a political critique of late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, played by Lee Bong-ryeon as Ryu Jae-sook – an attorney representing women fired by their company – like Park who became famous as an activist with rooftop vegetable gardens, human rights work, and posting reminders on her office walls with post-it notes.

Even amid controversy, AStory’s CEO Lee Sang-baek remains hopeful for a second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. No changes are planned in terms of cast or director; Moon Ji-won will return as writer; however she could be busy making her directorial debut, meaning another episode may take some time before we see another one.
