Extraordinary Attorney Woo is an international hit, captivating audiences worldwide with its story of a young lawyer with autism who takes on cases at one of Korea’s premier law firms.

Production company ASTORY has revealed their plans for season two of ASTORY’s hit legal drama. As much as possible, they plan to retain its original cast, director, and writer.

Park Eun Bin

Fans eagerly anticipate Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s second season after its finale has wrapped, with producer AStory promising that it would return with another season soon. Park Eun Bin has received much adoration from viewers as her portrayal of Woo Young-woo was so realistic; therefore she must carefully consider all options before making a decision about joining or not joining this project.

Park stars as an autistic rookie lawyer navigating legal cases with her photographic memory and incredible intelligence. She manages to overcome discrimination and prejudice both at work and personally due to her perseverance and passion for law – quickly becoming popular among her peers as well as earning respect from clients she defends.

The inaugural season of this drama received widespread acclaim both locally and internationally, becoming one of the top 10 shows on Netflix’s non-English shows list, and was even named one of the Top Ten Korean Dramas ever! Park Eun Bin’s portrayal as female protagonist won over viewers around the world.

Even after its slow beginnings, this show has quickly become one of the world’s favorite dramas and remains at the top of Netflix users’ favorites list for weeks on end. Additionally, Netflix global release enabled this drama to reach new audiences around the globe.

Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae-oh have earned high praise for their performances in the drama. Park Eun Bin in particular is receiving worldwide recognition for her sensuous and captivating acting.

Lee Sang-baek, ASTORY’s CEO, recently revealed that their production team is currently hard at work on Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s second season, hoping to retain 90% of cast and crew for its production.

Moon Ji Won has already signed on as writer of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, but due to her current directing debut film Deaf Boys she may be unable to start script preparation right away for this series.

Kang Tae Oh

Extraordinary Attorney Woo has proven itself an impressive K-Drama, keeping its initial charm right up until its conclusion thanks to an engaging script which always had been its mainstay.

Unsurprisingly, this show captured audiences and became one of Netflix’s most beloved weekly features. What made the drama truly compelling was that it went beyond traditional law genre storytelling to address issues related to ableism and diversity within legal world.

Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh are both beloved actors, drawing praise from fans for their performances as Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh respectively. Now the question remains as to if and when these actors will reprise their roles for season 2.

Producers of the drama have already expressed an interest in producing a sequel. ASTORY CEO Lee Sang Baek stated his goal for returning 90% of the cast from Season 1. This includes Park Eun Bin, KT Studio Genie, Nangman Crew as well as writer Moon Ji Won.

One reason this show was so successful was due to its depiction of Young-Woo’s tight relationships with her core group, providing an idealistic look at her life which helped lessen its impact. By showing that Young-Woo was not fighting this fight alone.

Young-Woo’s representation of a cerebral palsy woman accused by her boyfriend of being exploited was deeply moving; it revealed the assumptions and prejudices people have toward those with disabilities.

Even though the show was an overwhelming success, its production team must take into account audience responses when designing season 2. To create an enjoyable drama series like this one, they should avoid stereotyping or prejudice when writing new material for it.
